Focus and Scope
Juscontemporânea Magazine aims to be a space dedicated to the dialogue between reflection and practice applied to Law. In this manner, taking into consideration the mutiple approaches and perspectives regarding the matters presented to researchers and operators of Law, we favor the legal approach as an element of complex investigative interests.
Academic research - whether in its dogmatic or empirical aspect - as well as the judge's professional activity allows diverse readings - but complementary - of the legal universe. While disseminating tendencies and current, interdisciplinary perspectives in Law, this journal contemplates specially the result of academic research about the juridic phenomena - both in theory and in practice -, in dialogue with social matters. This multiple theoretical-methodological approach is opened to reflections of the widest range - for instance, the use of Law by the judges and the citizens; an explanation of the relations of civil society through a contemporary debate about democracy and citizenship; and a critical reflection over its practices and speeches.
We seek to adequate the publication to the requirements of the Qualis Program, from CNPq (National Board of Scientific and Technological Development), which measures the quality of academic journals throughout the country.
