STUDY ON THE FILLING OF PCDs VACANCIES IN A RETAIL CHAIN IN THE CITY OF CACHOEIRA DO SUL/RS
Abstract
The inclusion of People with Disabilities - PCDs - in the job market is a right guaranteed by Law 8.213/91, which ensures that a portion of vacancies must be filled by PCDs. About 45.6 million people in the country are declared to have some kind of disability, according to data from the last demographic census. For this study, we chose to do a case study in a retail chain in the city. In view of this, this study sought to investigate the access and permanence of the PCD public in the labor market in a retail chain of supermarkets in the city of Cachoeira do Sul. Thus, it was investigated what the barriers to hiring PWD are and examined how the hiring process of this public occurs. The results of this study show that there is a long way to go in this inclusion process and that the theme addressed needs to be better discussed within the HR departments and in the field of Administration.
